MEET THE CHEF

Erin Martin Nelson
Owner, Chef

Over 20 years ago, after years of struggling with severe digestive and emotional health imbalances, I embarked upon a journey to healing. Since then, I have dedicated my professional life to supporting others as they discover and tap into their own inner strengths so as to heal themselves through food, herbs, mindfulness practices, movement, and lifestyle choices and create a truly healthy and happy life.

A true foodie at heart, I love to eat and have discovered that whole, fresh, clean food has the power to transform our bodies, minds, and spirits in truly profound ways. I feel vibrantly alive and awake when I eat well and pay attention to what choices best serve me. I am continuously exploring the delicate balance of lifestyle and food choices that help to create the best version of myself. Caught between an equal love of celery juice and bagels with cream cheese, I am always striving to create a healthy balance of indulgence and health to nourish both craving and self. And I wholeheartedly believe that healthy food is delicious food, when prepared properly!

I earned a graduate certificate in herbal medicine studies from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Holistic Health Coach, where I studied dietary theories from around the world and was trained in several practical coaching methods. Having learned how to prepare healthy meals for a variety of dietary needs in school, I then delved into the world of healthy cooking, furthering my knowledge and deepening my skills through various courses and hands-on experience. Drawing on my knowledge of how food affects various health issues, nutrition, and cooking, I create menus to accomodate any dietary need and specialize in modifying or creating meals to support complex or layered health issues.
